WHAT IS FORERUNNER MINISTRIES?

Forerunner Ministries is a team of people dedicated to serving the body of Christ by:

1. Building the Tent of Meeting,

2. Training and equipping the saints through conferences and ministry training locally and beyond and,

3. Mentoring and shepherding those who are part of the Forerunner team and who see themselves as part of the spiritual family of Forerunner Ministries.

Forerunner Ministries operates under the covering of the Without Walls Ministry Network which is overseen by Pastors Phil and Jeanette Howell www.withoutwalls.com.au.

Forerunner Ministries’ first charge is to raise up the Tent of Meeting (Amos 9:11). The purpose of the Tent of Meeting is to establish a sanctuary, through worship and prophetic prayer, where the glory of God, restoration, healing, miracles, signs and wonders flow and where God’s people can come and seek His face.

We feel a similar leading to IHOP in vision and purpose in that we one day hope to see such a place established in Perth, Western Australia where worship and intercession operate around the clock, twenty four hours a day seven days a week. Where believers from throughout the body of Christ come to minister to the Lord and He minister to them. It is our belief that as continuous worship and intercession rises before the Lord, He will not only pour out His glory upon us personally and as a corporate body of believers, but He will also establish an open heaven over our city, in order to bring healing and salvation to the land.

Forerunner Ministries' vision for this is two fold. Firstly, we seek to work in partnership as co-laborers with existing churches and ministry works in the city and international Christian community, undergirding and building into its people by sending in worship and ministry teams. Secondly, Forerunner Ministries desires to bring in other local and international ministries to our city with the aim of impacting our city and its people, particularly worship and prophetic teaching ministries.

We also seek to build ministry training schools in Perth for worship and teaching. Our desire is to raise up, train, encourage and send out worshippers from all over the body of Christ in the spirit of the tabernacle of David style worship and also to produce anointed, glory filled live and studio produced cds and music that comes out of the tent of meeting anointing and the overflow of the river of God and intimacy with God.

Forerunner Ministries values the effective functioning of the five-fold ministry. We desire to see the pastoral, apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic and teaching ministries operating to their full potential in the Church. We appreciate and love the diversity of ministries that the Lord chooses to work through in the body of Christ. As such our heart is very much to work alongside, or serve, leaders and believers in churches throughout the body of Christ, regardless of denomination or five fold gift.

Forerunner Ministries is committed to providing a spiritual base for those involved in the ministry activities at Forerunner, specifically the ministry team and those believers called to embrace the vision of Forerunner Ministries.

Forerunner Ministries believes it has a responsibility before God to shepherd the people He has called to this ministry. As such we hold a weekly fellowship group as an expression of pastoral fellowship for those involved in any of the ministries at Forerunner Ministries and for those who are called to make it their spiritual home.

1. To raise up, equip and mobilize leaders in the forerunner spirit to fulfill the works of ministry
2. To provide discipleship through regular teaching of the Word of God
3. To cultivate intimacy and a strong team through small group involvement (ie. Home group, prayer group, worship team, ladies nights etc)
4. To serve the citywide church of Perth and the nations by building the Tent of Meeting, committed to releasing the glory of God through prophetic worship and intercession.

There is no official membership at Forerunner Ministries. It is only a reality when people receive regular teaching from the Word of God, they build relationships through small groups, they participate in outreach ministries, they attend prayer meetings and they bring their tithes and offerings into the storehouse.
